Using Webmail

- Log in to your domain contol panel or cPanel.
- There are several ways to access your web mail for your POP account.
- One way is to point your browser to http://www.yourdomainname.com/webmail(offcourse replace yourdomainname.com with your actual domain name).
- Another way is to click the "Webmail" icon on your control panel.
- Finally you can go to your "Mail Management area" and login from there by clicking "Mail" icon in your control panel.
- Click to "Add/Remove account" link. Here you can select which account you wish to manage.
- Click on "Read Webmail".Use your entire email address as your username in login box e.g. name@yourdomain.com.
- Enter the password. Click "OK".
- As you can see there are few email programmes that will help you to manage you mails.For example we use squirrelMail.Click on the squirrelMail icon.
- You will be taken to inbox.You can create folders in which you will store the emails.
- Click on the "Folders" link in the upper panel.
- You can create a top level folder or a sub folder to an existing one.Enetr the folder name e.g. Work.
- Select "None" in subfolder drop menu to make it a toplevel folder.Other wise select one of the folder name to make the new folder as subfolder in that folder.
- Click "Create".You will get a confirmation message.
- As you can see you have created a folder which you will find in left hand panel.
- Now for your covenience you can make an address book where you will out names and e mail addresses.
- Click on"Addresses" and fill the form.Click "Add address" button.
- To send a mail to the contacts in your address book,click on the email address of the respective contact and you will see a compose window will open with that e mail address in "To" field.
- SquirrelMail allows you to set mail preferences. To do so click "Options".You will find many options to configure mail and its interface.Set these according to your wish.
- To compose a mail ,click on the "Compose" , compose the mail and send it.
- You can store,forward,reply or delete a mail that you have already read.
- Please do not forget to "Log out" when you are done.
